ASINEX has been continuously improving the design of small molecules that can effectively mimic biologically relevant di- and tripeptide motifs and can serve as topological mimics of the peptide secondary structures: alpha helixes, beta turns and beta strands/sheets. Our approach is based on the identification of conformationally constrained saturated cyclic scaffolds containing multiple minimalist peptidomimetic pharmacophores. Each scaffold contains 3 points of diversity which are used for introduction of the lipophilic or hydrophilic side chains. The updated peptidomimetic library is now represented by:
Cyclic Polyether Scaffolds
Macrocyclic Scaffolds
Spiro- & Fused 3D-rich Scaffolds
